The Joy and the Peace Of It

It's been a gorgeous day, beginning with a misty morning, then lunch (again!) at Cecílio and Ermelinda's, with their son, João, this time, and out in the garden, and bacalhau instead of lamb.

At 7pm, decided to go together to the boardwalk at Luz, took way too many photos, but these two capture something of the joy in the beauty and togetherness, and the absolute stillness, except for the bells tolling Ave Maria.

Gratefuls:
- that Portugal has opened up a bit today after over three months; four can sit at tables outside cafés and restaurants again; the pavements were full of happy people
- our friendship with this couple
- good food and excellent wine, but mostly, beauty!
