Why do they squeal?

Emergency blip tonight... When in doubt, blip your Sausages.

When they squeal in the pan, it makes me think of the poor little piggies. ...Then I feel bad for not being a vegetarian. ...Then I reluctantly cut one up, dip it in some cool ketchup and chew the first bite, and then don't feel so bad anymore... You can't beat a good sausage.
