Easter chickens

We've had a long tradition of Easter egg hunts in our family so it was a delight to re-instate it, and on a lovely sunny morning too.

Following  visual clues suitable for a two-year-old, we made the surprising discovery that, in between my placing of the chocolate mini-eggs and the searching,  the hens had made their own contribution in the form of two new-laid offerings. All were placed carefully in the basket until a rest stop (for sampling) became necessary (extra).
