Golf course
Its permanently closed down now, as it was bought by a housebuilder who wants it removed from Greenbelt and for them to be allowed to build 1,000 homes on it. This is in a village that only has just over 10,000 people.
Anyway, the aircon compressor on the car decided it wanted to shear off the engine block, taking the belt with it. As this also drives the alternator the battery couldn't charge and died too.
Thankfully the AA turned up pretty quickly, fitted a new battery that was enough to get me the 4 miles home, or rather to the local garage.
A few texts to the garage owner later, and its going to be looked at this week to see if its repairable.
Anyway, I needed some fresh air so took Jack for a long walk around the woods and through the aforementioned golf course. I'm not sure which of us enjoyed it the most, but it certainly helped my mood.
