The Art of.....

.... getting by. I'm participating in a project. Today our team had a meeting in the Vensterhuis in my district.

The Art of Getting by is a new initiative, with the aim to find solutions in the fight against poverty.

We do this with teams of people who are experiencing poverty (or were). The Art of Getting by is unique because these people with experience have the central role.
We receive training first and then go to work. We are going to do interviews in the district, make movies. Devise solutions and thus to make a plan to get started.
The results will be presented at a conference organized by the team itself.


People that live below minimum income picture how life with little money looks.
They make their own suggestions for improving poverty.
People and organizations that can contribute to poverty reduction are involved.
Strength, experience and expertise of this team of people who have to deal with véry low income is the central starting point.
