Big eyebrows

Another very mixed day today, cold with snow and hail but we did see some sun. Saw this jay down by our local ponds, I’m really taken by the eyebrows you can see in the upper photo! We were lucky enough to have a Jay family fledge in the garden last year, and I’ve seen them puff their heads up, but I’ve never seen eyebrows like this. wonder if it’s an old one?
