I've spent some time today looking at youtube videos, by Nik the Booksmith, on how to make a 'lap book'. You basically make a book cover and then attach binders and foldouts and pockets and things to the construction. You can put a notebook in a vertical pocket, fasten pencils in the spine area, make several foldouts and just have fun. She also have a video on how to bind and make a notebook/journal/sketchbook. It's so much fun! I want to make one for myself first and then I have plans for a belated Birthday gift. :)
My little plants are growing still. The cucumber I thought would die has recovered, the other cucumber I also thought would die... well... I don't think it's made up its mind yet... :)
