Snowy flowers this morning
We've had snow showers around since Sunday night here, but this morning (Tuesday) I got up and saw that a bit more snow had settled overnight this time. I went round knocking off the snow from quite a few poor old flowers like the daffodils, that were bent right over under the weight. I think these Hellebore flowers look like they were designed to withstand a bit of snow though (they tend to start flowering in late winter after all). I also thought they looked particularly pretty with the snowy coating.
In the afternoon I had a walk that started off in lovely sunshine, descended into a snow storm (it was coming at me fast and horizontally anyway!), and then ended in beautiful sunshine for the last five minutes. It's been off and on like this all day.
For a while I felt a bit like one of these flowers. I was so relieved when the snow stopped.
My extra was taken in Upper Reelig Wood, just before it started snowing really badly.
