The Miner and the Magpie

MrB and Little Miss headed off with Abe this morning for their camping trip. I was really disappointed not to be able to go with them, but my cough just isn't getting any better and it wouldn't be wise to go camping.

The house feels pretty quiet and empty with just Nikau and me. I stayed in bed until midday, reading a good book. Then did some work on my assignment.

I got out and took some photos of a heap of birds in the park during golden hour. There were lots of them out there, but with Nikau following me around as my 'photographer's assistant', the birds didn't hang around too close!
