Tin Economy
Buildings such as this are becoming quite rare in Aberdeenshire. The oil boom has had the effect of allowing development on such a large scale that every farm building has become a target for those intent on making a fast buck.
Local planning regulations have for many years relied on a footprint from the past in order to approve new builds in the countryside. People are living in farmyards which have been converted into luxury dwellings. Developers are reaping the proceeds.
The planners are blind to it all and have lost any sense of history.
