Fairy Door

One of the Community Councillors created a fairy door trail with tiny doors, ladders and furniture. Various people painted and decorated the doors ready for children to spot during the school holiday. The trail of about 10 doors with accessories was put out on Friday to great acclaim and enjoyment. By Saturday morning several doors were missing.

A possible explanation is that people thought that the doors were like an egg hunt and that finders were keepers. A message to that effect on the local WhatsApp group hasn't resulted in the return of any doors though. For some reason I feel really upset by this. I'm disproportionately gutted that a bit of fun for children lasted such a short time. I understand the reasons why people sometimes have to spoil things but still. It seems an awful shame.

Anyway here's one tiny door propped up at the base of a tree and someone has kindly given it a daffodil. Cute!

I have some work to do today. It's preparation for tomorrow and next week. I'm doing very well as far as eating the weekend's chocolate too. Better get a decent walk accomplished before yoga and what I hope will be a restful evening.
