Nicky and her Nikon

Multiple blossoms

Another freezing cold day today, we woke up to a frost covering the garden. I cannot recall early April being this cold for many years now. Gavin left to go to the office at 6.30am and it was -2C. I was glad to get home back to the warmth after my dog walk this morning.

I spent some time choosing and uploading photos for another camera club competition which is on a set subject of Mono, and then loaded some entries to be considered for the exhibition to be held in June.

I also decided to sort my wardrobe today, I have so many clothes that I have not worn in years and decided there is no point in keeping them. There are also some new clothes I bought last year for certain functions we had that have never been worn as the functions were cancelled due to Covid lockdowns. Not sure when I will get to wear them!

Tomorrow it will be a few degrees warmer, but it is a very slow start to the warmer weather expected for this time of year. Last year at this time we had temperatures in the twenties, but today was 7C. I hope we get a decent summer this year.

Tonight I have a zoom talk by a photographer on 25 years of landscape photography, it should be interesting.

As I am typing this Xena has just spotted a fox outside in our garden and was going ballistic so I had to let her out - at the moment we have foxes in our garden quite frequently, day and night.

Today is the anniversary of Murdoch's death two years ago - what a shock that was for all of us, we still think of him all the time. He was such a character.
