Beauty.

I had seen this tree from the other side of the Derwent in Cockermouth and walked around to have a closer look.  These caught my eye.  Sunlight glinting on them, although a chilly day, mixed with different shades.  Fantastic.  I would think they are a variety of willow/alder growing as close to the Derwent.
