Lavender

A visit to the Farm today for a dozen of their finest eggs.  Nice to see the hens out again, although it's still jolly cold.  I had 1/2 doz of the extra large eggs and 6 of the smaller blue ones, probably laid by this handsome Lavender Pekin bantam.  I used to keep hens, mostly bantams and had most of the colours of the Pekins.  Such a sweet breed and very tame.

Not quite so cold as yesterday but still pretty Brrrrr ....
