Antique Direction
It's a quiet, grey and lazy sort of day. Getting caught up on office stuff. But, I did take a break from my desk to set up this shot.
My husband has some interesting antiques from his family and I've been thinking that a few of them would make interesting subjects. I've also been interested in trialing a new focus stacking software, Helicon Focus. Not bad... the computer part of the process was smoother, quicker and better results than the same process in Photoshop. So this is actually 12 images (each of a slightly different focus) stacked together to create a deeper DoF. It took some practice to find the right exposure settings (in camera) and the lighting the way I wanted it, but it was fun to experiment and learn what I should do.
Worth a look in this direction.
I love macro shots that have various stages of focus and a shallow DoF. But, this technique is interesting and I like this option for some subjects.
Now, I should probably do something like pay the bills & get those off my desk as well... the horror... :O
I'd much rather be Blipping...
