....did a thoroughly good job at setting up the new printer and showing me the ropes.

He taught me how to initialize, setup, print and maintain this machine, it's a snazzy bit of UV wizardry which I'm not familiar with (I don't come from a print background).

It was quite a bit to take in and I just hope I remember it all after I've slept.
I obviously took notes but there's nothing like getting your hands on and experimenting with options.
