The remains of a boat, which looks to me like a very thin stone circle, from my morning bike ride.
The distant boat is the RNLI's rescue boat. I have an RNLI friend who was called out a few days ago. They successfully rescued a kitesurfer, who'd been blown a long way out in a matter of minutes. Luckily her boyfriend was able to raise the alarm in time. My friend says they've had five recent call outs, all 'jumpers' (suiciders jumping from a large bridge.) It's a stark reminder of how desperate some people have become.
