Primula veris
Not your common or garden cowslip found in the UK. In German known as "Schlüsselblume" or Key Flower better still as "Himmelsschlüssel" or Heaven's Key as it is one of those flowers where blooms open heavenwards at first. The Key coming probably from the bunch of blooms looking like a bunch of keys. In folklore the flower is protected by the fairies and nixies who like them.
Luna and I out for an evening walk at +6°C, the sun did quite a good job today, the snow stopped, and we have a couple of good days through to Sunday ahead.
