Constellation
Visible from my flat, Constellation by Jonathan Wright is the first artwork for the Hove Plinth, an ambitious community art project by Hove Civic Society creating a brand new cultural attraction on the historic Hove seafront, and was chosen through a national competition.
Based on an orrery, Constellation is part mechanical model of the solar system, part film camera and part ship’s compass, the sculpture is a celebration of Hove where images associated with Hove's past and present were chosen by local residents orbit the system rather than planets.
You can listen to the Constellation's story here.
