(099) Mission Possible

The shed doors are just about finished - repaired, rehung, stripped, filled, and ready for painting. Many years ago I worked for a couple of years as a labourer with a local joiner/builder and in the company of two 'traditional' carpenters. Back in the 1980's the idea of a powered screwdriver or file would have been laughed at by tradesmen as almost everything then, on a small job/site, was done by hand, from digging foundations to breaking concrete slabs, never mind any joinery work. I suppose I maybe could have carried out all the shed maintenance tasks with manual tools but I'm sure that a) the job wouldn't be done quite as well, and b) I'd still be out there, trying to get it finished! Today's extra shots show the repaired shed doors back in place and ready for stripping, sanding, filling, painting etc. and, taken much later, my reward for a hard day's toil ;-)
