St. Paul’s Cathedral
Rebecca and I had an afternoon in London. My first visit since Feb 20.
Last year sometime I was chatting to our friend, J, and she was asking about my engagement ring. I haven’t worn it for many years due to , if I’m honest, my neglect to it. I used to wear it all the time and never took it off including washing up, cleaning etc. Eventually, I realised it was missing a few of the little chip diamonds surrounding the 3 sapphires and decided to stop wearing it. Last November I also took my wedding ring off (first time in 35 years) because my podgy little fingers were no longer the svelte ones I had when we got married and both rings needed to be made bigger. Anyway, J knows a man who works in Hatton Garden , a renowned jewellers area in London, and gave me his number. Last week I got round to messaging him and Rebecca and I went up to London to meet him and give him my rings. A lovely chap who loved a chat and said he hoped to do them within the next couple of weeks.
We took the opportunity to walk round a deserted London and seemed to zigzag our way around until we caught the train home from Blackfriars. A really lovely afternoon and I look forward to returning in a couple of weeks to pick the rings up. Although it will have to be a weekend as I will be to school and don’t know if it gets busier then.
A couple of collages. One of different angles of the cathedral and the other from our walk including a selfie taken in a mirrored window, Rebecca waiting for me to take pics, a view across the Thames and a mural of London.
Ps rubbish nights sleep again (rolls eyes).
Always better large ;-)
