Signs

Had a much-needed video call with the wee ones this morning.

Most parents might think that a week away from your children would be most welcome and if the truth be told, under normal circumstances that might be right, but when there’s bugger all else going on: you miss ‘em.

They were on good form though and even The Eldest replied to a couple of texts and is continuing to enjoy her half term.

I have absolutely no passion, drive or anything approaching motivation for work this week, but I’m sure that it will pass.

Dashing out of the door at 5pm today, I took a walk up to the castle stopping briefly to chat to a couple of friends who were going about their business. It was a little wild up top with the cold wind whipping around, but there is something about getting higher up that helps clear the head.

Rather bizarrely, someone had messaged me on Facebook from the US asking for my autograph. I played Sherlock Holmes in The Hound Of The Baskervilles many years back and apparently this guy collects autographs of everyone who’s ever played The Great Detective!

Say what you will about his hobby, but at least he’s found a way to fill his downtime!
