My last day

I came into the office early this morning and found my desk decorated and adorned with helium balloons. I felt very touched by this and now realise why my colleagues where trying to hurry me out the door on Thursday evening. I am both happy and sad.
3 years at University, 1 year teacher training, 33 years teaching and 12 and a quarter years property managing. How fast it has gone. Nearly 50 years since I left school in November 1971.
Another chapter begins tomorrow. We had a lovely function after work and then just had time to go and watch Franco Jorick race in the New Zealand Trotting Derby. He went out 10th favourite in a field of 11 and ran a huge race for 5th. Very proud.
