Flowering Currant

This is a red flowering currant, with complimentary bee.  I'm not sure if it's a true wild flower as I think it's often an escapee from gardens.  It's a beautiful early blossom anyway, and can be used by foragers.  Not me though.  I brought some into the house once and the smell was appalling.  I'm happy to leave it to the bees.  Tagged for the wildflower challenge.

Sad to hear of Prince Philip's death.  He achieved a grand age though.
