Kestrel
Today JanetH came over for the first time since last autumn. It was so lovely to be able to have a day out. We started with a coffee break socially distanced on the patio, then we drove to Parkgate for a walk and to photograph birds. We started off by seeing some long tailed tits, then an egret and a kestrel which hovered above us (albeit rather a long way away, so this is heavily cropped). We also saw a heron briefly. After that we came back for lunch and then we went to Meols and walked along the wall where there were some ducks, two curlews and lots of redshanks. As I have blipped a lot of redshanks recently I decided against blipping one. After that we came back for a cuppa before Janet went home. Thanks Janet, it was a great day!
