The Singing Ringing Tree.

It's long been on my wish list to cycle to The Singing Ringing Tree high above Burnley. It didn't disappoint! The views were absolutely amazing as were the views from the top of Bacup Road and on The Long Causeway near Blackshaw Head. A stunning ride!

Burnley's Panopticon, or as it's known the Singing Ringing Tree is a rather unique musical sculpture. It is constructed from pipes of steel stacked in layers, to form a tree like shape. They pipes bend in different ways to enable it to catch the winds to produce a sort of song. And yes, it was singing today!
