Unopened Hibiscus bud, and friend

In what's-turned-out-to-be the long-running Hibiscus series, I started out with some shots of flowers in full bloom, and that magnificent central stamen with all the little yellow pollen nodules at the tip. From there, went back through a few growth phases right to the very first pre-bud capsule phase, and then forward a couple of phases to the bud-bulging-and-starting-to-open phase.
This time it's back one phase to where the bud capsule is now as full as a goog, but hasn't yet accumulated enough energy to start its opening phase.
It's just sitting there, biding its time, showing very little movement on the outside, but all the while inside frantically trying to accumulate sufficient reserves to move on to opening.
The outer calmness is still very impressive, in that it almost oozes robustness and dormant potential for an explosion of life.
Not sure exactly how long it remains in this phase, but best guess is 3 or 4 days, during which time it grows from way less than half this current size, to well over twice as big. During this period, not a sign of opening mind - the bud simply keeps expanding to accommodate the bulging leaves inside.
When the walls of bud can no longer stretch to contain those burgeoning leaves, they start to split open the top of the bud, to continue their upward surge.
Which is exactly the post-bud phase shown in the two pics blipped on 7 April.
As for the bud's little yellow friend, I'm afraid I have no idea - what it is, where it came from, or what it's doing there. In fact, I didn't even realise it was a bug, until I saw the photo blown up on the laptop. It's so small (and my eyesight so poor, perhaps), that I initially thought it was just an odd little spot of colouration anomaly.
Bud and bug both look to be in corresponding growth phases - relatively small at the moment, but soon to rapidly transition into life-forms many times larger. The essence of inherent potential.
