Hobbity

I’m 5’3 and had to crouch under this. OH at 6’2 was on his knees! This was part of the Wye Valley way we walked today from Goodrich Castle, to Symond’s Yat and back in a circular route (9m) . The path along the river was pretty and calm-we saw lots of birds , stopping for lunch under cliffs where Peregrine falcons are said to nest ( didn’t see any). Just as we’d finished the heavens opened and we emerged from the woods looking like drowned rats. Luckily the cafe at the castle was open, the hot chocolate was very welcome. Heard the sad news of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh- a long life well lived.
