Nature walk

Lovely walk this morning. Crisp and bright as I set off for a walk through the nature reserve at the bottom of my road, then picking up the canal and looping round into the park. Lots to see, horses blocking my path, I was very brave and walked round them rather than turning back! I spotted a deer in the undergrowth. We looked at each other for a while and then she decided to head off - her mates were hiding behind her. Lots of birdlife on the canal including a swan patrolling up and down keeping his nesting mate safe. Finally, a couple of newly hatched coots being wiped down by their mother and kept warm and snug. I do love spring!
