Happy Birthday Mrs CBL

In normal circumstances Mrs CBL and I would be in a faraway place with a strange sounding name celebrating her birthday.  In fact this time last year we were in Malaysia only to be sent packing as lockdowns were put in place all around the world.

A year on and Mrs CBL is celebrating her birthday at home.  Not just any birthday but her 70th birthday!  Disappointed not to be somewhere exotic (we’ll celebrate this milestone abroad at sometime in the future) nonetheless it has been a grand day with friends and neighbours coming to the door with cards and gifts.

Also our daughter and son-in-law visited and we sipped champagne (well three of us did the driver didn’t), ate cake and shared memories and had a most enjoyable time.  We came to the very firm conclusion that Mrs CBL is both a wonderful wife and a very loving and caring mother.

After they headed home we put the flowers into vases and put the bottles of gin (how did so many people know it is her favourite tipple?) safely away.  There may be quite a few flower blips this coming week and on the days I don’t blip  you’ll know I’ve been sampling the gins!
