Fresh fish
Saturday - so fresh fish from the pier. Quite a bit of sunshine today, though evidence of a light frost this morning. At least there's been no wind so we had a pleasant return walk to the pier. Here are a couple of fishing boats - the furthest one, Dawn Maid, is registered in Troon, Ayrshire, and was built in 1969. The poor old girl is looking rather ragged now compared with a picture of her in 2008 - http://www.trawlerpictures.net/gallery/image/2176-dawn-maid-tn102/
Did a bit of gardening after lunch and sat outside in the sun for a while 'til the big dark clouds came over. As I write, at 6.15pm, it's snowing!
My extra today is of the 'Loch Striven' on her way to Lismore.
Quote of the Day:
Osbert Sitwell - "Poetry is like fish: if it's fresh, it's good; if it's stale, it's bad; and if you're not certain, try it on the cat."
