Sparkling day
The sea and sand were really sparkling in the sun today. The main beach access from the village was behind a locked gate today, as it always is at the weekend, so I had to wait for low tide to cross the river. When the tourists arrive next week it will be unlocked. A shame the owners don't seem to care about access for the locals!
It looks like summer in the photo but there was a cold north wind. I was making the most of a quiet and sea-ssssmelling beach - next week the beach burger bar will open and the smell of meat will ruin the sea air. They have a very short ventilation chimney and don't seem to care how the fresh sea air gets spoilt - its worse when you're vegetarian and don't want to smell burnt dead animals! I suppose those cooking and selling the stuff never get out onto the beach and wouldn't notice the burger smells anyway!
