Diary of an Edinburgher

Happy

A morning spent out in the front garden in warm sunshine! And lots of passing visitors, too - humans and dogs.

First of all Hamish and his mum and dad came by. Archie LOVES Hamish (Hamish merely ‘puts up with’ Archie’s attentions). They came in for a natter, but mum was heading for a haircut and was very excited. Dad stayed for a coffee.

Then Maggie and her dad came by. She was undeterred by two schnauzers at the gate, and came in for a cuddle before going off for a big walk.

Hazel came to join us before she went out for her run, so it was a most pleasant morning.

I have long lusted after those little mochis, which we had at Hazel’s ages ago after a wonderful sushi meal. I’ve seen them on Social Media - apparently people are going crazy for them and you can’t get buy them anywhere. But I set off to Newington and tried THREE Chinese supermarkets. Sold out. I was about to catch the bus home, when I spotted another Chinese supermarket, and I had 13 minutes to the next bus, so I nipped across the road. Success! They had frozen ones! I got coconut, raspberry and mango flavours. We’ll have some tonight when Hazel’s over for nibbles. (Extra)

Elizabeth took Archie out for the day, so he’s very happy.

JR is very happy because she got her hair cut at last. And a new hairdo too!

And I’m very happy to have found those ‘Little Moons’.

Hazel came over for some socialising, and actually, contrary to our First Minister’s instructions, Elizabeth came and had a wine with us for the first time in a year... And as we sitting there, we saw a horizontal snow storm out the window!!

But I’m still a bit tearful about Prince Philip, the more I read about his amazing life.
