Northern "Yellow-shafted" Flicker
This lovely bird was in my garden this morning looking for her breakfast. I wasn't sure what kind it was and had to look it up in the Audubon Field Guide. The 2 extra photos show the markings in more detail.
It was a beautiful sunny day today, so I spent a few hours working in the yard. There is always so much clean up that needs to be done in the spring.
