wild & precious life

Contrasts

It's hard to capture a billboard when you are a passenger in a car. This was on our way to outdoor yoga. We arrived early for class so decided to treat ourselves to take away coffees...only it took a long while for each to be prepared, which meant we were then rushing to put out our mats and didn't have time to drink our drinks. We were flustered instead of composed for this meditative practice!!!

Life has many shades and tones. What is a sombre day of sadness for some, is day of celebration for others. Our neighbour is turning 70 and we were invited to gather outside in separate gardens (our houses are clustered around a path & green, not a road) to raise a glass and have some social interaction. The contrast in weather, however, minute by minute, was hard to deal with. Sunshine quickly turned to snow (!) and savage wind and we all became very cold! Hardened as we are here in the North East of England, we stuck it out ...but eventually we had to retreat indoors. It took me ages to warm up again!
