Four Black Jacks

That’s what I could have bought with these four farthings....or four fruit salads.
Four farthings equalled one penny.
I found a bag of old coins when I was clearing out a box today and these farthings were in there. They range in dates from 1896-1950. It’s strange to think that we shall be the last generation to whom farthings mean anything.
There was also a KING GEORGE III BRITANNIA PENNY OF 1797 and a George IV Britannia Penny of 1897. Curious. I wonder where they came from. My husband probably bought them at an auction years ago.
