Out in the Peak District
A beautiful, sunny morning: freezing cold, but a great opportunity for a brisk trot around Burbage Rocks just beyond Sheffield's western edge. Higher hills were gleaming white in the distance, looking towards Hope and Edale. Richard and I were out by 9.30; just as well, since - with some easing of lockdown restrictions - popular walking spots get busy fast at the moment.
I wondered briefly what i would be like on Kinder Scout this morning. Info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinder_Scout
Richard is not one for really long hikes, so we have never been up there together. But it made me think of planning a trip with Jack and Marianna, when we can (though they do set a spanking pace, and it can be a challenge to keep up).
And now, after some photo editing, for a bit more time in the garden...
