Nelson Monument

We took a walk in town this afternoon, meeting up with one other person - three of us together, that was a novelty! Well, first time this year anyway.

Another of those four seasons in one day type afternoons. We sat enjoying the sun while sitting on a bench in Princes Street Gardens and then as we continued our walk, the sky looked rather menacing. Flickers of snow were falling as I took this photo of the upside down telescope that is the Nelson Monument on Calton Hill. The retreat back home involved zigzagging through some of the narrower streets trying to avoid the wind chill factor. 

A nice cup of tea and a piece of cake, and we’re sorted again - and the sun is streaming in the window!
