Hail the runner

I was meant to be going for a walk with a friend this morning, who unfortunately had to cancel.

Having done a little keeping up with the blippers, looking out of the window, I could see a beautiful day and felt like I had some energy to burn, so I suited up and headed out for my first 10k run in a loooooong while and MAN ALIVE it felt good!!

There was no time pressure or anything, just one sweaty man on his toes and with good tunes playing in his ears. I’m glad I went when I did and was able to take today’s photo, because as I look out of the window now, it is heavily hailing!! 

A walk into town to get some key ingredients for tonight’s cottage pie also enabled me to bump into the hirsute ayearinthelife and cosyupwithcathy who were out on their regular Sunday loop. He’s excited too about the prospect of an autumnal production. It would be great to get the gang back together and spend a couple of months mercilessly taking the mickey out of each other at rehearsals.

I mean, we can do the same thing online, but it’s much more fun when a joke lands in person.
