Busy day

After the usual stablehand duties I met Joy for a walk. We’d been told how to get to a place I’d been wanting to visit for a while by wandering through a small wooded area, so we tried that.

The walk was ok, but the coffee was dire. Luckily the biscuit was delicious.

Back home, a quick change into my faithful old painting clothes and I joined Maria, who was painting up a house very close to mine. The owners had gone to stay with parents for 3 days, which made things a lot easier.

Back home to feed myself - I’d prepared batter for toad-in-the-hole and left it with Sav to cook, so it was all ready ... then fed the sourdough starter with its required flour and water. It’s quite a commitment this bread!
