The memory lingers on
I decided to stay at home today, after yesterday's "big" walk. We had snow overnight and it was very cold despite the sunshine.
I ventured out to fill the bins and to feed the birds.
Most of the day was spent sorting out piles of journals and magazines and letters. I have still not found the National Trust card and this irritates me no end. I'm trying not to look now because I end up checking places I have checked before.
I have nearly finished the knitting for the refugee rabbit. I do hope it looks good and it the right height when it's done. What a fiddly pattern.
Last year we did not have flowers in the house very often. When people were shopping for us, I didn't like to aske them to bring flowers. We did receive both plants and flowers as gifts. I love flowers in the house so I decided recently to be extravagant and have flowers delivered fairly regularly. These roses are from over 3 weeks ago and still beautiful in decay.
I used a white board as the background, processed the flower in Camera RAW then added a texture in Photoshop. The texture is made from a small trough of paint which had hardened into blobs. I think it gives the hint of the snow. Hope you like it.
