Walkaround Together & Smelling Fresh Hyacinths
What a day…Long, exciting, feeling true enthusiasm, adventurous, surprising and a bit tiresome. But let me try to sketch a few headlines. I still cannot understand why we have been separated for such a long time. Obviously under Our Great Pandemic Confinement there are enough justifications. But what I mean is: why didn’t we try to escape in order to join together in December or Januari?
Real beloved people are here. They stay here over night and share lunch and dinner with me. Yes tomorrow, they have to return and cross the Dutch border before Curfew. But then we will have been in real familiar contact with each other. Dolf had to do his teachers homework. Mischa&Me, we made a short walkaround through Gardentown. Had a chat with nearby neighbours we did not know before. How many years did we pass the place where they are living without meeting? Twelve?
Amidst all discussions about possible approaches and scenarios for the future, I accompanied Mischa To Our Dear Our old friend Gerlinde. Who received us warmly and enthousiastically. It kept raining and raining. No way to go for a walk. So Mischa was glad to tell a lot about the future. On their efforts to find a piece of land with a cottage or a hut for a holliday stay in the vicinity. Cookies and nuts and tea together. For the first time since last summer I could join this togetherness.
Tomorrow near-winter will be back again. The soft odours of the Hyacinths will be blown away by icy winds. So be it. As Our Togetherness will remain palpable only for a few hours. But I hope to fully enjoy it, before a new solitary April-winter sets in again. Still, we know that things are changing.
We are more conscious of what really counts between us, To discover in your Heart what is of ultimate value. That is what loosing Our DearestLove is teaching us under these very confrontational circumstances of the deadly pandemic. We may feel blessed to be caught in the middle of all this. No escape anymore.
