Branches in the blue

We live opposite an RSPCA centre which has a lovely tree-lined access road. Last week the sound of chain saws indicated that branch lopping was taking place. Sadly three of the lime trees had been beset by fungal disease and had to be removed. Happily, I understand they will be replaced. The pile of logs and felled branches made this lattice-work of branches against a cobalt blue sky seem all the more precious.
