Droopy daffs

The poor daffodils have waited patiently until the time was right to fight their way out of their bulbs, push through the dark soil to emerge into the air and turn their faces to the sun. And then ......... we had a night of frost, followed by another night of frost and this is what they looked like the morning after! Happily, the frosty nights have been followed by sunny days and the sunshine has worked a miracle both yesterday and today, renewing the strength of the blooms so that later in the day they were stood upright with their faces turned to the sun once again.
