The Blue Anemones

Today we went for a long walk with a specific purpose: to check if the blue anemones were out. They usually appear around mum’s birthday, and only stay for a short time. They have the most wonderful blue colour, and - they are mum’s favourite flower. They are also fairly rare. They only grow in certain places, year after year, where they like the soil and the conditions. Not like the white anemones - they grow more or less everywhere.

So. It was a great walk. We found lots and lots of blue anemones, more than mum has ever seen here, so she was super happy. I got treats. The sun was out. We both enjoyed the walk. Perfect! I do need to stay alert, though, even during a photo session.
