Nook & Cranny

A damp, overcast day but surprisingly mild so I popped out with my camera & explored some of the cobbled lanes around Corbridge. It's an old village steeped in history & one can only imagine the stories the walls could tell! This is a steep cobbled lane leading down to the river called St Mary's Chare and dates back to the 13th century. Locally it's known as 'Bad Bank' but I'm not quite sure why!!
