Today shops re-opened after weeks if lockdown.

The queues went round the corner of popular shops. Everyone had the same idea as me. With a difference mine was only an idea. I’m not ready to shop yet!

But I couldn’t resist seeing what it was like in town. Commercial Road, especially was heaving. Primark, Zara, River Island - all with queues outside. Everyone seemed to be carrying any number of Primark bags. Hen-pecked partners waited patiently outside.

Once again the weather was better than forecast. Cool but pleasant.

Just baked a bread machine French baguette for the first time. Used the wrong yeast and rolled it wrong, but looks quite good. Off to taste it.
