People on a Bridge

Film Script

I have realized today with great amusement that for the past few years my life has been following a fairly typical feel-good movie script. Heroine sets her eyes on some goal. Adversaries (direct or accidental) slam the door in her face. She collapses in sobs, or eats a gallon of ice-cream in bed while watching chick flicks with her best friend. Then the empowering bit starts, cue in Rocky's training montage. Upon climbing a mountain of difficulties, she delivers the final crane kick. Last five minutes: she gets a brilliant job that she never even knew existed, through her hard work changes lives of millions, gets invited to deliver a TED Talk, Harvard graduation commencement, receives a MacArthur Genius Award, and lives happily ever surrounded with her wonderful and supportive family and friends . The End.

I am currently at the empowering bit. After my balloons got stuck in a tree, I am busy training. Stay tuned for the rest of the flick.
