You little devil!

A young Lambertia formosa - or Mountain Devil as it is known - shooting up from the bushland floor, to become one of the most popular Blue Mountains plants. At the moment their red/pinkish flowers really stand out, with few other plants being in flower, and the red/yellow/green whorl of young leaves is a happyhappy brightness.
