Oh Happy Day
I know I've been quiet lately. I don't know what to say.
I am OK externally, choosing joy. Making people laugh. Internally, still a bit unsure.
I had the most wonderful day.
You just don't know...
Early morning run. I cooked a huge southern breakfast... Scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, fresh berries and a lovely vanilla flavored coffee. We had a long, lovely, leisurely conversation and wandered our way through the flea market at Mauer Park.
I then walked slowly and deliberately through the sun, met one of my favorite people in the entire world for lunch. Then went for coffee... then a bottle of champagne. After that we drove over to Kastanienallee and met some friends for a bit. Markus stayed and I went...
On a date. I know. For a girl who spends all of her time with men who are otherwise engaged it was lovely to spend an evening with someone who was quite content to be engaged with me.
As we walked home though the streets, we found a gathering of three African looking statues. This was actually the last photo I took, ironically it was the best.
I am OK. I have just made this internal decision that I am going to have fun and enjoy the people around me and not let my circumstances dictate anything about my desire to attack the dawn and live every moment.
SOOOOO much easier said that legitimately resolved.
Happy Easter Monday, I am going to bring this wonderful day to a sweet and lovely end.
Here's the 2nd choice for today... one of the most enjoyable bottles of champagne I have ever had, and not because of the Moet.
